The fifth annual event will be on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Volunteers will head out into the Lawrence community in one shift, starting at 10 a.m. and ending by 2 p.m. The Big Event will hold a kickoff ceremony and volunteer check-in on the KU campus before volunteers go out to their job sites. Common tasks for volunteer groups include raking leaves, trimming trees, cleaning houses, and planting plants at Lawrence homes, schools, community organizations, and public spaces. Please note that all volunteers must be KU students, staff, or faculty.
